The Greater Niagara Circle Route is perfect for cycling, walking or rollerblading, but this time I’m going to write about cycling. It is 140 km, mostly paved and off road trail that links Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. From Niagara-on-the-Lake the ride will take you along the Niagara River, past historic sites, Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, the Niagara Escarpment and past the majestic Niagara Falls. As you ride along Friendship Trail just north of Lake Erie maybe take some time to enjoy Crystal Beach. Leaving the shores of Lake Erie you will be heading north along the Welland Canals where you can watch ships climb the locks.
Valentine B&B is part of a network of “cycle-friendly accommodations” located along the Greater Niagara Circle Route. We provide secure lockup for bikes. Luggage transfer is available between the accommodations.
